Over this past weekend my family and I spent some time at a local orchard. We had a really nice time just being outside and enjoying the beauty & bounty of nature. We were also fortunate enough to come home with a trunk full of pumpkins, a half gallon of fresh apple cider, and a bag of apples that we picked off the tree!
Tonight we will have Apple Cobbler for dessert! On a week night! Because we can! It super easy with minimal clean up. This took me about 20 minutes to put together-and I was even on the phone and stopping to take pictures of my progress! So, you got this!

You will need
8 apples, peeled, cored, and cut into thin slices (or chunks if you prefer)
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup of cold salted butter (if using unsalted just add 1 tsp of salt)
vegetable shorting
Step 1
Pre-heat your oven to 375 Fahrenheit
Step 2
Grease the entire inside of a 13*9 glass baking dish

Step 3
Mix dry ingredients together. Cut up butter and cut in

Step 4
Layer apples on the bottom of your greased baking dish

Step 5
Sprinkle your mixture over your apples
Step 6
Place in oven and bake for 30-40 minutes

From my home to yours, ENJOY!
