Recently Sephora released a limited time kit, Play! Smarts: Skincare By Age: 30s, 40s, or 50s. I am in my early mid-thirties and purchased that box! It cost $20 and says its a $47 value. The packaging is adorable for starters, it is reminiscent of middle school CD cases from back in my day. But that is an understatement of the simple beauty of it. It really is super cute.

The products all came nicely packaged, and what I found super awesome was flash cards that had a description of each product, information about what the product was supposed to do, how to use it, and what time to use it, the time of day as well as in correlation with the other products in the box, or anything else that might be part of your routine. There was also an invitation to stream an online class that was also supposed to go more in depth about the products too. Pretty impressive.

So here I am, in my 30s, combination skin leaning on the oily side. I have a regular skin care regimen that I follow religiously. My skin is generally in good condition, I use sun screen everyday, have a few fine lines, and the occasional hormone induced acne flare up. I have super high hopes for all of these things doing wonders for my face, always have room to improve!

I used all six products everyday with the exception of the chemical peel. I tried using the product only once, but it made my eczema flare up and I decided to discontinue use. I think this was a specifically me problem because the reviews are great, and where my skin didn't react poorly, my pores looks much smaller and less defined.

The Fresh eye cream I very much enjoyed. It has a nice tea scent, and goes on smooth. I liked that it wasn't heavy on my skin. I usually use Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb, and while I still love that for my night time skin care routine, I am switching to this for my morning skin care routine. I think my make up goes on over this smoother, and again, isn't as heavy.

The Tarte Treatment I found to be okay. It was nice, but nothing stood out to me as being above average. Will continue using package, probably wont be repurchasing.

The Kiehl's cleanser was one of my favorite out of this collection. It worked very well and was pleasant to use. I will continue to use the rest of this product, and while I don't have the need to have it in my everyday skin care routine, I think I will keep it in my arsenal to use on specific occasions.

The Tatcha cleanser was nice. It feels super luxurious to use. Nothing stood out as special to me as being above average here. I will finish using the rest of this product, but will not be repurchasing for myself, however, I do think this would make a great gift because it works with most skin types and has the Luxe feel.

Supergoop Sunscreen, its nice, and I am a huge supporter of any sunscreen. The product went on smooth and worked well alone as well as under my makeup. I will continue to use the rest of this product, I think I will be repurchasing. I use a BB cream with sunscreen as my foundation 98% of the time, but this would be nice for days that I go clean faced.

Overall I think that the Play! SMARTS: Skincare By Age:30s was a good investment. I think that sometimes in all aspects of life its easy to get caught up in routine and not stepping out of our comfort zone to try new things. I think its important to take care of ourselves in all areas, and sometimes we, or me at least, forget that life is changing and so are my needs. Gotta mix it up sometimes! Its so important to take care of yourself and sometimes just taking a few minutes a day to clean your skins will work wonders!

I hope this review was helpful to you! If you have tried one of these boxes I would love to hear what your thoughts were!

From my home to yours, ENJOY!
