In our home, the winter holiday season starts Halloween night! It has become our tradition to hand out candy to trick or treaters and begin to take down the pumpkins and goblins and start to replace them with twinkling lights, and all things glitter. To say that I love the holidays is an understatement. I was so excited to get this box and having it really jump start my winter makeup and skin care. I was hoping to find glitter and ultra hydrating things to combat the cold winter months.

First out of the box is Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Microfinishing Loose Powder. This is rated for all skin tones in all lights as a weightless powder that is supposed to minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines. I'm game. On Sephora it has nearly 5 stars in the reviews. Everyone in the reviews seem really pleased, that its really great for T-zone area. Words of caution that its not great for under the eyes, or as a baking powder because it can look ashy. The mini size, which is slightly larger than this sample, retails for $20 at Sephora.

Next up is the luxurious Christophe Robin (I read it about five times before I stopped reading it as Christopher Robin, anyone watch the new Winnie the Pooh movie yet? Let me know!) Cleansing Volumizing Paste with Pure Rassoul Clay and Rose Extracts. This has a wonderful rose smell, and the texture looks like chocolate chia seed pudding. The reviews fore this are again, really good, sitting at 4 stars on Sephora. To use this product your supposed to use in the shower as a shampoo, working it into the roots. Its supposed to go from clay to foam, which seems really cool. This currently retails for $53 for 8.33oz at Sephora.

Hello Fab Coconut Micellar Makeup Melter seems like it will be a great product to add to anyone's arsenal. I love their primers, to be honest I was sad when I seen this, thinking it was their Coconut Primer, which I love, but I like to try new things! So glad to give this a shot! The reviews online for this aren't quite as good as the others so far, sitting at a solid 3. There isn't much scent to this product, which is great for sensitive skin, it is smooth and feels like its going to be very hydrating. This currently sells for $26 for 5.4oz tube in store.

Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in Pink Tea is a great pairing or dupe for Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Ludwig-Nude Fawn. Obviously the Sephora is a stain so it is much thinner, and it does have deeper pink and blue undertones in comparison. This retails for $14 (Everlasting is $20)

Clinique's Pep Start Eye Cream is a good eye cream, and I really do like easy application. I haven't found anything that I feel goes above and beyond any other eye cream I have tried, but I do like this. It retails for $26.50.

I was a little worried about Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb Bloom perfume, but it was a pleasant surprise. Its smells warm and flowery in all the right ways. It is a very strong scent, so go lightly. This retails for $135.

All in all I am pretty happy with this month's box and will continue my subscription. To purchase even just the trial size versions of these products it would cost about $260.50, so $10 plus tax seems like a big steal to check them out.
I hope you found this helpful! Let me know what you would like to see a review on, or a more in depth trial run on!
